Scorpio case: Why leniency for the accused? Mother's question
The mother of Sahil, the victim in the Dwarka case, alleged that the influence of money is clearly visible in this entire case. She said that the 19-year-old accused was made 17 overnight, which in itself raises serious questions. The mother says that if a minor is minor, how can he act like an adult, and if he commits a crime like an adult, he should be punished accordingly.
He questioned what kind of justice it is to grant relief citing board exams even after a child's life has been taken. He also stated that there are serious questions about law and order in Delhi. Despite evidence available on social media, why is action being delayed? According to him, many facts in this case were deliberately ignored. Sahil's mother also stated that a cab driver was also seriously injured in the incident, but his condition and loss were not given due consideration. She added that if the situation had worsened, another family could have been devastated.
She also questioned society, saying that the tendency to harass others is increasing among people, and until this mentality changes, such accidents will continue to occur. The mother appealed to the government, promising to raise her voice with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. She demanded that strict action be taken in this case and that this should not happen to any other child in the future. Finally, she stated that this fight will be fought to the end and every effort will be made to punish the culprits.
