CBSE Class 10 Exam Didn’t Go Well? Second Chance Open, Registrations Soon
CBSE board examinations have begun this week, from February 17. Millions of students across the country, including in the Dwarka area of the national capital, are currently appearing for the exams. In this context, an important update has come for students and parents.
If a student feels that their Class 10 exam did not go as expected, there is no need to be discouraged. Starting from the 2025–26 academic session, CBSE has introduced a new two-exam system. Under this scheme, students can appear for a second board exam within the same academic year to improve their scores.
Students can improve their marks in up to three subjects, including Mathematics, Science, Social Science, and Languages. Meanwhile, students who fail in one or two subjects will have the opportunity to appear in the second exam under the compartment category. The first board exam will be considered the main examination, and participation is mandatory, with students required to appear in at least four subjects. The results of the first exam are expected in April, while the results of the second exam are likely to be announced in June.
