In a significant development for Delhi’s Dwarka area, a major step towards infrastructure improvement has been initiated. The Delhi Jal Board, along with the Irrigation and Flood Control Department, has laid the foundation stone for multiple projects worth around ₹20 crore. The event took place in Mahavir Enclave Ward, Sector 1, Dwarka, where a large number of local residents and officials gathered. The program began at around 10:30 AM and marked an important milestone for the region’s development. The ceremony was led by the Minister of Water and Irrigation, Shri Parvesh Sahib Singh, who attended as the chief guest. He was joined by South Delhi Member of Parliament Shri Ramvir Singh Bidhuri and Palam constituency MLA Shri Kuldeep Solanki as special guests.

Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta was also present at the event, highlighting the government’s focus on improving civic infrastructure in the capital. Speaking at the event, the leaders emphasized that these projects are aimed at strengthening the drainage system and addressing the long-standing issue of waterlogging in the area. Along with this, several measures related to flood control will also be implemented. Local residents have often faced severe inconvenience during the monsoon season, with waterlogged streets affecting traffic movement and daily life. These new projects are expected to bring much-needed relief and improve living conditions in Dwarka.

Officials assured that the work will be completed within the stipulated timeline, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
