Palam Fire Tragedy: CM Rekha Gupta Meets Victims’ Family, Announces ₹81 Lakh Compensation
Last week in Palam, a huge fire broke out in which 9 people were died. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta arrived yesterday to meet victim family of Rajendra Kashyap and offer her condolences. She also assured him for compensation amount of rupees 81 lakh.
In this meeting local MLA Kuldeep Solanki was also present. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta assures them of a through investigation in this matter. She also stated that she stands with them in this difficult situation. Whoever is found guilty in the investigation, or whose negligence comes to light will be punished. During this meeting, Chief Minister also provided cheque of 81 lakh rupees. She also ensured that the rest of the family member are safe. Two persons are still hospitalized and undergoing treatment. She also assured for the treatment.
Last week in Palam a horrific fire incident took place in which 9 people were burnt to death. Even after 30 fire engines arrived, the fire was not under control. Some people said the hydraulic fire truck was not working, so due to damaged ladder truck they could not save those who were trapped on second floor. This aspects of the incident raises serious concerns about public safety and government preparedness. People of Palam are still outraged over this management by the fire safety department.
